AI chatbot startup LimeChat raises $750K in seed

      LimeChat, an AI-based chatbot raises $750,000 seed funding from Pi-Ventures and Stellaris Venture Partners to help D2C brands build a compelling buying experience.

Gurgaon-based startup LimeChat was founded by a duo-team of IIT- alumnus Aniket Bajpai and Nikhil Gupta in 2020 amid covid-pandemic induced surged in adoption of e-commerce in India. This Artificial Intelligence (A)I-based chatbot , LimeChat is empowering D2C brands with deep engagement on various chat mediums like WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram  etc.

          A Grand View Research reports that this Global Chatbot market is set to reach a staggering figure of $123 billion by 2025, with an annual growth rate of 24.3 percent. LimeChat is currently working with more than 25 direct-to-consumer brands across the fashion, beauty, cosmetic and health and wellness verticals. It has also raised a pre-seed round from Titan Capital early last year.

            Businesses these days are looking for personalized ways of dealing and engaging with their customers. At the same time, more and more customers are preferring to buy through chat, mediums as compared to websites and apps because of their personalized store-like experience added with their faster responses and 24/7 customer support. Here, LimeChat, an AI-powered Chatbot with heightened capability is becoming integral to customer engagement.

                “A large number of consumers will prefer buying through chat mediums over the website and revenue through chat will exceed that of websites and apps, adds the co-founder of LimeChat. Nikhil also adds that LimeChat’s level 3-bot can give a 53 percent higher engagement rate than a level 2-bot.

                Nikhil Gupta, the co-founder of LimeChat is an interaction says that LimeChat provides a human-like shopping experience on chat mediums. Most Chatbots can only take in fixed pre-defined responses and are unable to answer questions that have not been programmed. But, LimeChat uses first-of-its-kind Level 3 AI chatbot technology, which can identify language, sentiment and delivers personalized and natural conversation experiences to the customers.
